Meet Daniel Ha
Driven by a dream, hard work, and passionate pursuit, still 25 years later!
Like any noteworthy ascension story, my career was carved out by the help of key people in my life. Curiously, you never identify them as such until your life unfolds. Now with over a combined 25 years of experience working in the wine industry, I clearly recognize these connections.
As a burgeoning oenophile from Oklahoma, it was Young’s who gave me an opportunity to work for one of the largest wine distributors in the state. Exposure to a vast assortment of great wines from across the globe transformed my palate and equipped me with a keen sense of quality. I wanted to share great wines with people and have them know a truly transcendental experience. Not long after, I was offered the opportunity to direct various wine programs. Exquisite food coupled with remarkable wine became an infatuation for me. It was in that role that I truly identified my passion - creating unforgettable experiences for my guests.
I had a taste of the valley when I worked on the distribution side and took a market trip out to Napa. I remember driving on 29 past the cemetery, the skies were open during sunset and I felt like I was driving into the hands of God. I was offered a GM wine director position at Budo - which was my catalyst to move. Serving as the front line and hosting wonderful guests, I focused on connecting with people, creating experiences, and establishing relationships. Following my experience at Budo, I became Director of Hospitality for Vineyard 29 and subsequently launched brands like Dana Estates, Gandona Estate and Pulido~Walker. I have had the honor to work with other brands including Quintessa, Futo, Fairchild, Zakin, Eisele Vineyard and BRION.
Current projects include the exciting opportunity to work on the launch of the Tesseron family brand, Pym-Rae, settled atop Mt. Veeder. Serving as an advisor for CureDuchenne and a Board Member for 10,000 Degrees, also allows me to bridge the gap between my passion for crafting memorable experiences and contributing to worthwhile efforts.
Navigating through my wine career, I found the common thread in my experiences is people. How you make people feel, foster relationships, and ensure trust. With the creation of DMH Napa Valley, I realize that thread is more applicable now than ever. DMH prides itself on connecting the right people, with the right experience. Curating specific enjoyments tailored to your interests. Specializing in crafting coveted experiences in Napa Valley.
